Easter, the farm, the rainforest, the seashore ....... these are the topics we will cover at Pre School in the month of April. They are subjects that suggest new life, growth, warmth and the coming of spring! In Minnesota we are fortunate to experience all four seasons of the calendar year to the extremes and we are often awe-struck by the beauty of each of them. While some people pity us here in “fly over land,” we at Pre School thank God for the gift of seasons. We look forward to the signs of color and growth after a long winter. We will plant our garden seeds in pots and care for them until they can live in our garden. We wait anxiously for the bulbs we planted last fall to poke their noses out of the ground. These are a part of the rhythm of the seasons and God’s plan for new life. Happy Easter to all of you!

PAJAMA DAY, 2012
We did not yawn our way through Pajama Day this Thursday and Friday! After the wet, wet snowstorm on Wednesday we had to be careful when we slopped our way to Pre School in our slippers and jammies! But neither snow, nor rain, nor wind, nor sun could keep us from enjoying our Pajama Day festivities. While some of the things we did were silly, like "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed," others were quiet and relaxing, such as reading a good bedtime story. Two of our favorite stories are, "The Napping House" and "The Penguin and the Pea." For snack we, of course, had cereal and juice. It was the only way to go on Pajama Day!
Our songs included "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and the we learned the poem "Star Light, Star Bright, first star I see tonight..." I wonder what the children were wishing for? Hmmmm....
